Police on Saturday arrested two persons in possession of six grams of brown sugar from Arjundhara and Mechinagar Municipalities of Jhapa district.

The arrestees have been identified as Kumar Rajbanshi (45) of Mechinagar-12 and Res Bahadur Sarki (36) of Bhangbari in Arjundhara-4, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

A police team deployed from Area Police Office, Kankarvitta and Drug Control Bureau arrested Rajbanshi on Saturday along with four grams of brown sugar from near Mechi Bridge and Sarki was arrested by the Khudunabari Temporary Police Post on the same day along with two grams of brown sugar. 

Meanwhile, in Jaleswar, police have arrested a man with 5.5 kg of marijuana in Gaushala Municipality of Mahottari District. 

Police identified the arrestee as Harendra Sah (35) of Gaushala-5, said Prakash Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Mahottari. RSS
