CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song held a meeting in Balkot on Friday. During the meeting, the duo discussed mutual interests and bilateral cooperation. According to a source, the Chinese Ambassador inquired about Nepal’s politics and presidential election with Oli.

At a time when the ruling coalition is in crisis due to the presidential election, the talks between Chairman Oli and Ambassador Chen are seen as meaningful.

Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had reached Balkot to finalize the issue of the President. He reiterated his old proposal to seek national consensus in the President with Oli. In response, Oli had said that the past agreements should be implemented.
