Arshdeep Singh's devastating powerplay spell practically ended Lucknow Super Giants' slender chances of chasing down a mammoth target of 237. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad put up a charge after the 10th over but it was all too little too late. LSG finished with a score of 199/7 and thus lost by 37 runs, Hindustan Times reported.

Arshdeep dismissed openers Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh in his second over and then got the all-important wicket of Nicholas Pooran in his next. Rishabh Pant failed to make an impact once again, losing his bat and his wicket at the same time on 18 off 17. Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad then put up an 81-run stand off 41 balls. Samad missed out on a half-century but Badoni got there in 32 balls. 

Prabhsimran Singh led the way while captain Shreyas Iyer and Shashank Singh added their own big-hitting magic dust as Punjab Kings posted a daunting total of 236/5 against Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamsala. Shashank joined Prabhsimran Singh after the dismissal of captain Shreyas Iyer and has taken the Punjab Kings run rate to a different level. Prabhsimran, who scored his fourth consecutive half-century, was then dismissed just nine runs short of a century, according to Hindustan Times.
