Chennai Super Kings scraped past Kolkata Knight Riders in a nail-biting two-wicket win at the Eden Gardens.

MS Dhoni’s belligerent late six and crucial knocks from Dewald Brevis, Urvil Patel and Shivam Dube helped CSK dampen KKR’s Playoff hopes with a successful 180-run chase.

 

KKR posted 179 for six batting first against the Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday.

Batting on a tacky pitch, KKR were led by captain Ajinkya Rahane’s stoic 48 before late flourishes from Andre Russell and Manish Pandey.
