The government has allocated Rs 109 billion for social security programs.
Presenting the budget for the fiscal year in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Thursday, Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel said that Rs 109 billion has been allocated for social security programs.
He said that people who have regular income sources will be included in the contribution-based social security program.
Similarly, Minister Paudel said that all social programs will be included in the national identity card and national identity cards will be distributed to people with disabilities through mobile teams.
Likewise, provincial and local levels will not be allowed to give double allowances in the name of social security programs.
