The Nepali football team defeated Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the second match of the Group 'A' held at Thimpu in Bhutan on Friday.

With this, Nepal gathered four points in the ongoing AFC Women's U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers by playing two matches. In the first match, Nepal drew 1-1 against Bhutan.

Nepal's Sukriya Miya contributed the single goal for the team in the first minute of the additional time of the second half of the match.

Following Nepal's victory on Friday, it still has chances for getting qualified into the AFC Asian Cup to be held in Thailand next year. However, Saudi Arabia could not make to the next step after its defeat before playing the next match.

Nepal is scheduled to play against North Korea on Sunday. (RSS)
