Three Thai soldiers were injured on Saturday morning when a landmine exploded during a patrol along the Thai-Cambodian border, the Thai Army reported. The troops were laying barbed wire to strengthen border security at the time. The injured soldiers were quickly evacuated to a local hospital for treatment, Xinhua reported.
The incident follows clashes between Cambodian and Thai forces on July 24 over the disputed border. On August 7, both countries agreed to a ceasefire and signed a deal in Malaysia to maintain current troop levels and avoid escalating tensions.
