A few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali, and the southern plains of Lumbini Provinces are predicted to have heavy rainfall today.

The weather service said the low-pressure belt of monsoon is currently at its average range. 

The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted a generally cloudy weather across the country today. The weather change is impacted by the wind filled with water vapor which emanated from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Similarly, some places in Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces are forecasted to have moderate rainfall.

With this weather update, the Division has requested all concerned to remain aware of landslide and debris flow in the streams and rivers, which may impact on road transportation.
