Two persons died in a motorbike accident along the Bhairahawa-Parasi road section in Rupandehi on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Raju Harijan (21) and Rohit Yadav (23) of Omsatiya Rural Municipality-3, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Karki.

The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ga 11 Pa 8625) heading towards Bhairahawa from Parasi hit a parked truck with Indian number plate (HR 55 W 031) at Parasijhuwa along Bhairahawa-Parasi section this morning.

Critically injured Raju and Rohit died in the course of treatment at Bhairahawa-based Universal College of Medical Sciences, added Karki.

Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation.
