Film board launches digitization program

The Film Development Board has invited applications for the digitization of indigenous films.

The board announced that it is launching this program with the aim of preserving and promoting indigenous films produced in analog technology by preserving them in digital media.

It is stated that filmmakers or authorized persons interested in participating in this work must submit an application in the format prescribed by the board within 21 days from the date of publication of the notice.

It is stated that the conditions for participation in the digitization process, application form and necessary details can be obtained from the board’s website. Board Chairperson Dinesh DC stated that indigenous films are the cultural and historical heritage of the country and said that digitization is essential.
