The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has awarded its ticket to Pukar Bam for Kathmandu Constituency No. 4.

Bam had sought candidacy from Kathmandu-1, where he had contested in the previous election. However, the party has fielded him from Constituency 4 for the upcoming election.

Kathmandu-4 has long been represented by Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa. Thapa is set to contest from Sarlahi-4 in the next election, changing the electoral landscape of the Kathmandu constituency.

With Thapa not contesting from Kathmandu-4, the constituency is expected to see a new political contest in the upcoming polls.
