Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Komal Gyawali has been elected from Kailali-1.

The District Election Officer's Office has stated that she received 17,826 votes. 

Her nearest competitor was Janakraj Chaudhary of Nepali Congress, who received 12,867 votes. Likewise, Ramlal Dagora Tharu of Nepali Communist Party received 8,392 votes.
