Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice President Dr Swarnim Wagle has been re-elected to the House of Representatives from Tanahun 1.
According to the vote counting that concluded earlier today, Wagle won with 38,040 votes.
His closest rival was Govinda Bhattarai of the Nepali Congress, who secured 16,231 votes.
Similarly, Bhagwati Neupane of the CPN-UML secured 5,830 votes and Bidyanath Dhakal of the Nepali Communist Party won 2,393 votes.
Out of 126,882 voters in this constituency, 68,129 votes were cast.
In the by-election held for this constituency, Dr Wagle had won for the first time with 34,911 votes. Bhattarai was his closest rival as well, with 20,122 votes.
