The counting of proportional representation votes for eight constituencies under the House of Representatives elections held on March 5 is yet to begin.
According to the Election Commission, counting for proportional representation in eight electoral constituencies, including Sankhuwasabha, Ilam 1, Achham 2, Bajura, Gorkha 1 and 2, Dhanusha 1 and 2, is yet to begin, informed EC spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.
He also informed that the counting for proportional representation in Dhanusha 3, Mahottari 1, Sarlahi 2, Bara 1, 2, 3 and 4, Rautahat 1, Parsa 1, 2 and 4, Rasuwa, Sindhuli 1 and 2, Dolakha, Kanchanpur 1, 2 and 3, Darchula, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Doti, Kailali 1, Taplejung, Dhankuta, Jhapa 3, Morang 2, 3, 4 and 6, Sunsari 3, Tehrathum, Udayapur 2, Gulmi 1, Rolpa, Rukum West, Banke 1, 2 and 3, Arghakhanchi, Kapilvastu 2, Dang 2 and 3, and Parbat has been completed.
Likewise, counting of votes has also completed Tanahun, Kaski, Lamjung, Nawalparasi East 1 and 2, Mustang, Myagdi, Syangja 1, Manang, Baglung, Kathmandu 1 to 10, Bhaktapur 1 and 2, Lalitpur 1 and 3.
The EC has stated that counting of all proportional representation votes will be completed by the morning of March 11.
