The foundation stone for a Waste Management Centre in Duhabi Municipality-4, Sunsari, Koshi Province, was laid on March 29. It was laid by Narayan Singh, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu, and Bed Narayan Gachhadar, Mayor of Duhabi Municipality.

The project is being constructed with Rs 164m with support of the Government of India under the High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) framework.

Local officials and stakeholders expressed appreciation for India’s continued developmental support, noting that the facility is expected to significantly improve sustainable waste management practices in the municipality.
