The Federal Parliament Secretariat has summoned an all-party meeting for 1 pm on Wednesday in view of the Parliament session scheduled for Thursday.

All parties represented in the Parliament have been invited to attend the meeting, according to Parliament Secretariat Spokesperson Eakram Giri.

President Ram Chandra Paudel has summoned a joint session of the Federal Parliament for 2 pm on Thursday, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers on March 30. 

The first session of Parliament since the election to the House of Representatives (HoR)-2026 is expected to prioritize the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

The HoR comprises six political parties recognized as national political parties.
