Vehicular movement along the BP Highway has been suspended from this evening.
The District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, has stated that traffic operation has been suspended considering the risk to the travelers following heavy rains triggered floods in the Roshi river in the Bhakunde-Nepalthok section of the highway.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, traffic has been suspended considering the risk of flooding in the Roshi river due to heavy rains in Panauti, Namobuddha, Katunje, Mangaltar Taga, Kavrebhanjyang and other places in the southern part of the district.
Vehicles already on the highway are currently being held at the entry points at Kavrebhanjyang in Dhulikhel and Nepalthok in Sindhuli.
The Highway was brought into operation from Sunday morning after being suspended for about 36 hours since Friday.
