The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the country is currently experiencing the effect of westerly wind and local wind.

It has resulted in generally cloudy weather in hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces. However, it is partly cloudy in the Tarai region. 

Some parts of Gandaki Province and some hilly and mountainous belts of Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces are witnessing light rain and snowfall along with thunder and lightning. 

The hilly and Tarai regions are likely to have partly cloudy weather later today. 

Light rainfall and snowfall are predicted in one or two places of hilly and mountainous regions in Koshi Province, and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
