KMC to launch night bus service from April 14

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is launching a night bus service in collaboration with Sajha Yatayat starting April 14.

The service will operate on two main routes: from Lagankhel to Budhanilkantha (16 km) and Thankot to the Tribhuvan International International Airport (20 km), passing key areas of the city.

Buses will run daily between 8pm to 11 pm at 20-minute intervals, with CCTV surveillance and presence of city police to ensure passengers security.

KMC Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol said that the service aims to reduce expensive travel, improve safety, and support students and women facing transport issues.
