The weather will remain generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions and partly cloudy in the rest of the country today. 

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning as well as hail and snowstorm in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country and light rain in a few places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and the rest of the Tarai regions. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is also a possibility of windstorms in some places in the Tarai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

Later tonight, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous regions of the country, partly cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly clear in the Tarai region. 

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali Provinces and at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces. 

There is also a possibility of windstorms at some places in the Tarai areas of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces.
