Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has successfully uderwent the stone surgery, according to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Oli was admitted to the hospital after being taken into custody on March 28 from his residence in Gundu, citing health issues. He was later released on bail following an order by the Supreme Court of Nepal, which also directed the release of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak after the investigation period expired.

Despite his release, Oli remained hospitalized due to his health condition. Police had detained both leaders based on the recommendation of a commission formed to investigate the GenZ movement incident, which suggested filing criminal charges.
