The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office reported that 2,300 motorists were penalized for traffic rules violations, resulting in a revenue collection of Rs 2.08 million in the past 24 hours.
Among them, 104 individuals were apprehended for drunk driving and 177 others were engaged in illegal ride-sharing.
Furthermore, 147 motorists were cited for violating traffic light regulations and 105 were booked for speeding.
Other offenses included 56 cases of lane discipline violations, 152 instances of honking in restricted areas, 113 vehicles parked in road zones, 141 drivers on one-way streets and 1,305 additional traffic rule violations.
This enforcement underscores the ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations in the area.
