Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav has reaffirmed the government's commitment to making Nepal-China economic and trade cooperation more effective and result-oriented.

She said so during a meeting with the visiting high-level Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister of Commerce of China Yan Dong. 

On the occasion, Minister Yadav underscored the need to expand cooperation in areas like trade, investment, industrial development, infrastructure construction, trade facilitation, cross-border infrastructure development, private sector collaboration, and the strengthening of supply chains.

Highlighting the investment-friendly environment, legal and policy reforms, and prospects for industrial development in Nepal, the minister expressed confidence that Chinese investment, particularly in the manufacturing sector, would continue to grow.

Vice Minister Yan reiterated China's commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and elevating economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

He said that China is positive about facilitating Nepal's participation in trade fairs and expos in China and assisting in the construction and reconstruction of trade infrastructure at the Tatopani and Rasuwa border points.

Saying that the Chinese government is willing to support the promotion of foreign investment in Nepal, leader Yan suggested conducting a joint study on the potential of Nepali products such as tea, medicinal herbs, and other exportable goods.
