Jha of RSP wins Mahottari-3
Ujjwal Kumar Jha of RSP has won in Mahottari Constituency No. 3. He defeated Mohammad Rizwan of the Nepal Federal Socialist Party by a wide margin of 26,482 votes. Jha got 32,451 votes while Rizwan got only 5,969 votes.
Independent candidate Ram Adhar Kapar got 4,790 votes while Bajrang Nepali of the Nepali Congress got 4,342 votes.
Inquiry Commission submits report on GenZ movement to government
The Inquiry Commission formed to investigate the incidents that occurred during the GenZ movement on September 8 and 9 submitted its report to the government on Sunday.
A team of the Commission reached Singha Durbar this morning and handed over the report to Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
The interim government had formed a commission of inquiry on September 21 under the headship of former Judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the incidents that unfolded during the Gen Z movement and allegations of excessive use of force by state authorities.
Initially, the Commission was granted a three-month deadline to submit the report. However, the government extended the deadline after the Commission failed to complete the investigation within the stipulated time.
AIG Bigyan Raj Sharma and Bishweshwor Prasad Bhandari were the members of the Commission.
A total of 74 people lost their lives in the protests.
During the protests, various public institutions, including Singha Durbar, the country's administrative center and the Supreme Court, were vandalized and set on fire.
RSP’s Kharel elected HoR member from Lalitpur-2
Jagadish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the election to the Member of House of Representatives (HoR) by a large margin of votes from Lalitpur 2.
According to Lalitpur 2 Election Officer Samjana Simkhada Pudasaini, Kharel has won by securing 39,941 votes.
His closest competitor, Prem Krishna Maharjan of the Nepali Congress, received 7,420 votes.
Similarly, Ujiyalo Nepal Party candidate Rajaram Tandukar got 5,547 votes and CPN-UML candidate Prem Bahadur Maharjan received 4,536 votes.
In Lalitpur-2, which has a total of 89,082 voters, 61,975, including 31,035 women and 30,940 men, had voted. There were 23 candidates from political parties and also independents in the election race in this constituency.
RSP's Gelal elected from Udayapur-1
Paras Mani Gelal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Udayapur-1 by securing 30,590 votes.
The Election Officer's office has reported that Gelal was elected by a margin of 18,984 votes over his closest rival, Rajesh Kumar Rai, the candidate of the Shram Sanskriti Party.
Similarly, Baldev Chaudhary of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) received 10,021 votes, Bidur Basnet of the Nepali Congress received 9,675, and Durga Kumar Thapa of the CPN-UML received 9,206 votes.
RSP’s Bhandari elected to HoR from Baitadi
Harimohan Bhandari of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as a House of Representatives member from Baitadi.
According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Bhandari won by securing 22,134 votes. His nearest competitor, Chatur Bahadur Chand of the Nepali Congress, received 18,194 votes.
Likewise, former Minister Damodar Bhandari, who had previously won three consecutive terms from the CPN-UML, fell to third place this time. He secured 17,091 votes.
A total of 73,148 voters cast their votes in the district, with one constituency.
RSP's Koirala victorious in Kailali-4
Khemraj Koirala of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) emerged victorious in the election held to the House of Representatives from Kailali-4.
According to the final vote count, Koirala won with 28,556 votes followed by Nepali Congress candidate Gorakh Bahadur Bista, who received 11,301 votes, said Election Officer Hari Prasad Acharya.
Similarly, Lekhraj Bhatta of the Nepali Communist Party received 9,444 votes and Kamal Rajwar of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 1,358 votes.
Of the 115,143 voters in Kailali-4, 61,941 votes were cast and 3,658 were invalid.
RSP’s Jha elected HoR member from Mahottari-3

According to Chief Returning Officer Madhav Prasad Adhikari, he was elected by securing 32,451 votes.
His nearest competitor, Muhammad Rizwan of the Nepal Federal Socialist Party, secured 5,969 votes.
Pramod Kumar Mahato and Deepak Kumar Sah of the RSP have already been elected in Constituencies-1 and 2 of Mahottari, which has four constituencies, while Gauri Kumari of the RSP is leading by a wide margin in the remaining Constituency-4.
RSP’s Yadav elected HoR member from Siraha-3
Shambhu Kumar Yadav, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Siraha-3. According to Chief Returning Officer Dr Shree Prakash Upreti, he was elected by securing 32,249 votes.
His nearest competitor, Leela Nath Shrestha of the CPN-UML, secured 10,156 votes.
Out of a total of 119,250 voters in this electoral area, 76,430 votes were cast.
Here, 41 candidates from various political parties and independent candidates were in the electoral competition.
