Gold price drops by Rs 1, 300 per tola on Tuesday

The price of gold has dropped by Rs 1, 300 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday. 

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the yellow metal is being traded at Rs 291, 500 per tola today.   It was traded at Rs 292, 800 per tola on Monday.  

Similarly, the price of silver has dropped by Rs 90 per tola and is being traded at Rs 5, 060 per tola.

Division Forest Office vehicle set ablaze in Mahottari

A vehicle belonging to the Division Forest Office was set on fire in Kalapani, Bardibas Municipality-3, Mahottari on Monday. 

Ajay Kumar Mishra, Head of the Division Forest Office, Mahottari, said that the incident occurred last night when forest officials visited the area to issue a notice  to evacuate the settlement in the forest area of ​​Kalapani.

He said that locals also  took a seven-member team led by Forest Officer Sweta Jha of the Sub-Division Forest Office, Gadhanta under control until midnight and obstructed the BP Highway against the move. 

Later, a joint team of the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Police rescued them. 

Division Chief Mishra said that 1,100 hectares of forest land has been encroached upon in Rajabas, Kalapani, Baradada and Mahottari districts for settlement and cultivation. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bagmati Province govt unveiling policies and programs today

Bagmati Province government is presenting policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year, 2083/84 today. 

Province Chief Dipak Prasad Devkota is scheduled to present the policies and programs in the Province Assembly at 5 pm, according to Raj Kumar Paudel, secretary at Province Assembly secretariat. 

Even the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill (except tax) for the upcoming fiscal year will be discussed from today, he added.
