Court seeks investigation file on leader Khadka's case

The Supreme Court has ordered the Department of Revenue Investigation to submit the investigation file related to former minister and Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka. 

Khadka has been arrested on the charge of money laundering. 

A division bench of justices Til Prasad Shrestha and Shanti Singh Thapa issued the order on Wednesday in response to a habeas corpus writ petition filed by Khadka's spouse, Binita Thapa.

The Department of Revenue Investigation is ordered to submit the investigation document and written response within mid-day on Thursday. 

The Department has launched an investigation on the property of leader Khadka.

On Monday, the Department had allowed the security agency for three days' detention of leader Khadka.

Earlier on March 29, the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had arrested former minister Khadka  in connection with the investigation of his property.
