A child died after consuming wild mushrooms in Chitwan district today. 

The deceased has been identified as six-year-old Namuna Chepang. 

Namuna and her family members had eaten a curry made of wild mushroom on Tuesday evening. 

She was a Grade II student at the Rastriya Secondary School, Hattibang. 

Sajan Chepang and Manita Chepang were also taken ill after consuming the wild mushroom. 

Namuna's body has been brought to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem. 

After the villagers got information about the tragic incident on Friday morning, they brought Sajan and Manita to the hospital for treatment, said School Principal, Lok Bahadur Magar.
