A person died and two others sustained injuries in a jeep accident at Kamalbazaar Municipality-7 in Achham district today.

The deceased has been identified as Karna Bhat (34). Injured seriously in the incident, he was taken to the district hospital but breathed his last during the course treatment, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Khanal.

The incident occurred when the jeep (Se 1 613) fell some 200 meters  down the road. 

Two others injured in the incident are 13-year-old Min Bahadur Bhat, son of the deceased one, and Badri Bhat, 30. 

Both of them have been referred to Provincial Hospital, Surkhet for further treatment.  

The jeep driver has been taken under control for investigation.
