The Parliament meeting has been adjourned for 15 minutes after opposition lawmakers staged a protest over Prime Minister Balendra Shah's remarks on Nepal-India border issues.

The protest began soon after the meeting started. 

Then Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal allowed UML Deputy Parliamentary Party leader Padma Aryal to speak.

Aryal said that the Prime Minister should apologize for his statement made on May 17, in which he said Nepal's border issues with India would be resolved through diplomatic channels. 

Opposition party lawmakers have been objecting to Prime Minister Shah’s statement and have been disrupting parliament meetings since then.
