Balen Shah wins from Jhapa-5 by defeating former PM Oli
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah has been elected the House of Representatives (HoR) from Jhapa-5.
Shah won the poll by defeating former prime minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli by a wide margin.
According to the Office of the Returning Officer, Balendra Shah secured 68,348 votes, while Oli managed 18,734 votes.
In the vote counts completed this evening, Samir Tamang of Shram Sanskriti Party got 9,233 votes, while Mandhara Chimariya of Nepali Congress secured 1,821 votes and Laxmi Prasad Sangraula of Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 1,536 votes.
Of the total 163,379 voters, 106,568 voters cast their votes in the election on March 5.
RSP's Chand elected from Kailali-5
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)'s candidate Ananda Bahadur Chand has been elected from Kailali- 5 in the House of Representatives election.
According to Bhuwan Singh Thapa, Chief Returning Officer, Chand emerged victorious with 31,953 votes.
He defeated Narnarayan Shah of the Nepali Congress, who received 11,958 votes.
Likewise, Prem Bahadur Ale of the Nepali Communist Party got 7,876 votes followed by 5,839 votes of Yagyaraj Dhungana from the CPN (UML).
Out of 110,539 registered voters, 65,752 voters cast their ballots in the March 5 election.
NC candidate Swar wins HoR election in Achham-1
Nepali Congress's Bharat Bahadur Swar has won the House of Representatives election from Achham-1 by a small margin.
According to the Office of Election Officer, Swar defeated his closest contender Bhim Bahadur Rawal of the Nepal Communist Party by a margin of 526 votes.
Swar emerged victorious with 10,759 votes while Rawal received 10,233 votes.
Similarly, Deepak Bahadur Saud of the CPN-UML finished third with 7,389 votes while Rastriya Swatantra Party's Om Prakash Rawal got 1,739 votes.
Bohara of RSP elected from Kanchanpur-2
Deepak Bohara of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Kanchanpur 2.
He received 33,952 votes, according to Election Officer Prakash Bhandari.
His closest rival was Narayan Prakash Saud of Nepali Congress, who received 10,827 votes.
Likewise, Bachan Bahadur Singh of CPN-UML received 6,418 votes, Madhav Prasad Pant of Nepali Communist Party (NCP) received 6,337 votes and Tirtharaj Chataut of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) received 1,993 votes.
