The Social Club, a community based social networking initiative was created to connect people despite being online and feeling disconnected. The club, started as a part to connect people, has built a community of 600+ members.
The club is organizing a masked social event titled Masquerade Night on May 15 in Kathmandu. According to the organizers, the event will feature a ‘blind-meet’ format where participants wear masks to interact without revealing their identity. The concept is designed to encourage social interaction based on conversation.
The club has conducted visits to old age homes and orphanages, where members provide donations of essential goods spending time with them through activities and interactions.
Founder of the club, Tulip Shrestha said the initiative focuses on creating structured social environments that encourage interaction among participants.
The event was inspired by the romance of Bridgerton, the glamour of Gossip Girl, the nostalgia of prom nights, the evening blends elegance, mystery, music, and fate-driven interactions into an unforgettable experience. It is expected to bring together individuals from different social groups, including singles and friend groups to be part of something memorable.
