Eleven members of a family have taken ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Jhapa.
The incident occurred in Buttabari of Barhadashi Rural Municipality-2 after the family of Tej Bahadur Khawas ate a curry prepared from wild mushrooms collected from a nearby forest this morning.
Information officer at District Police Office, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, said that Kamalamaya Khawas (50), Dilli Khawas (31), Anita Khawas (20) and eight other children have fallen sick after consuming the curry.
They have been referred to the Damak-based Children's Hospital for further treatment. According to him, all of them are out of risk.
