Property with millions of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at the cotton godown of Triveni Spanning Mills Industry in Chhatapipara, Jeetpursimra Sub-Metropolitan City-9, Bara on Friday.
The fire which broke out at 10 am today was brought under control by 12: 30 pm after intensive efforts, according to the Area Police Office, Simra.
Hundreds of personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force along with fire fighters were deployed to contain the fire.
The cause behind the fire was an electric short circuit., police said.
